Africa-Press – Angola. An Angolan delegation, led by the secretary general of the National Assembly, Agostinho Neri, is participating since Thursday, in the city of Brasília (Brazil), in an international conference on legislative modernization and digital transformation of parliaments.
Lasting two days, the event addresses topics such as “political leadership for the promotion of legislative modernization”, “governance of a legislative modernization strategy”, “open data strategy in parliaments”, “modernization of the legislative drafting system and smart parliaments”, as well as “data-driven democracy”.
According to a press release from the Embassy of Angola in Brazil, the conference also addresses inter-parliamentary cooperation for the promotion and legislative modernization, priorities for the modernization of legislative commissions, among other topics.
At the two-day conference, Angolans Agostinho Neri and Emílio Muachendo, who is also part of the Angolan delegation, will speak on tools for participation in the legislative process and open data strategies in parliaments.
