Africa-Press – Angola. A long-distance swimming tournament, in open waters, will take place on Saturday (8am), with a view to rehearsing the sea test as part of the African Zone IV Championship, taking place on the 7th (7th) of May, in Luanda.

The competition, to take place on the coast of the island of Luanda, aims at recognizing and rehearsing the course of the continental competition, the technical director of the Angolan Swimming Federation (FAN), Artur Henrique.

He added that swimmers will be subject to the same rules as the African circuit, to be held at distances of three (3) and five (5) thousand metres, plus a relay of 4x1250m.

The tournament foresees the participation of 1.o de Agosto, Clube Náutico, Onda Sport Club, ADEOA, Naval and individual swimmers.

The African Zone IV Championship, the second to be organized in the country, starts with pure swimming in the Alvalade swimming pool.
