The secretary general of the Revolutionary United Youth of Angola (JURA), Manuel Ekuikui, defended, this Friday, in Sumbe (Cuanza Sul), the need for young Angolans to work in favor of the defense of the homeland and the development of the country , focusing on behaviors that promote peace.
When intervening in the sworn-in act of the new provincial secretary of JURA in Cuanza Sul, Adriano Feliciano Pires, the politician appealed to young people to maintain an exemplary patriotic posture, in favor of social harmony.
“Young people must become citizens of good character, with patriotic and ethical verticality in politics”, he stressed.
In this sense, he exhorted this fringe of society to invest in academic and technical-professional training, in order to guarantee a bright future for their families.
“Vocational training must be one of the great challenges for Angolan youth. In this particular, appeals to JURA militants to be in the academies, at all levels, to follow the current dynamics, while participating in the debate and political and strategic action of the party”, he added.
He encouraged the new provincial secretary of the youth wing of the party to work tirelessly for the aggrandizement of the organization.
In turn, Adriano Feliciano Pires said that JURA will work with the party’s youth and other organizations in order to make their contribution to the country’s development and to improving the population’s living conditions.
Adriano Feliciano Pires replaces Gray da Silva Kapata, who has led UNITA’s youth arm for the past five years.
