Africa-Press – Angola. In a game marked by successive interruptions, Petro de Luanda won 1.o de Agosto this Friday, by 90-71, equaling (1-1) the sequence of games of the “play-offs”, the best of five, from the National Senior Men’s Basketball Championship.

At the end of the second period (break), “Red-Black” supporters broke the security barrier and around the access tunnel did not allow the refereeing trio to go to the locker room.

Disappointed with the score, some bottles with liquids were thrown onto the playing court, a situation calmed down by members of the technical team of 1.o de Agosto.

Regarding the game, played at the Cidadela pavilion, the “tricolors” began to win in the first quarter, by 36 -21, and in the second, despite some recovery from the opponent, they ended up reaching the break with an advantage of 11 points (56- 45).

After a phase of contempt between supporters in the stands, the third period started out of time with Jordan Aboudou and Hermenegildo Santos catapulting the “military” team to a recovery of almost 20 points.

In the last quarter, there was a better physical posture of the national champions, at a time when the center Damian Hollis was sent off for an unsportsmanlike foul.

What happened next was Petro’s management of the result. In a lead of 71-61, the experienced Carlos Morais, Jone Pedro and Aboubakar Gakou proved to be predominant for the first victory in this final of the competition, by 90-71.

Milton Valente from 1.o Agosto was the scorer of the night with 15 points, one more than his colleague Nicol Clareth. For the opponent, Childe Dundão also scored 14 points.

In the first round, 1.o de Agosto won by 76-71.

The third game takes place on Monday at 6:30 pm on the same stage.
