Africa-Press – Angola. The management of FC Bravos do Maquis do Moxico asked the board of discipline of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) to challenge the match in the round of 16 of the Angola Cup, in which they faced Isaac de Benguela, for alleged irregularity.
According to the vice-president of the Moxico club, José Dembo, who was speaking at Luena, in the match in which Maquis was eliminated from the round of 16 of the Angola Cup (6-5), in the penalty shootout, some members of the opposing team were not registered for the competition.
The official maintained that the matter was discussed with the technical council before the start of the match, but that the necessary measures were not taken.
“According to the rules of the FAF, only the elements registered in the match sheet and the persons concerned (António Cajambola and Bossa Mapesse, coach and assistant coach respectively) are allowed, they are not enrolled in the technical council of the FAF, nor are they licensed in the Association of Angolan Football Coaches (ATFA) to carry out these functions”, detailed the vice-president
José Dembo regretted the fact that the referees had allowed the people in question to have contact with the game grounds, despite having been previously informed.
António Cajambola, better known as Benguela, replaced Paulino Júnior in the technical command of Isaac de Benguela, who was sidelined on the 24th round of this Girabola, after having lost, by a ball, against Petro de Luanda, at the 11 de Novembro stadium.
