Africa-Press – Angola. A small fire broke out over the weekend, on the outskirts of the Capanda hydroelectric project airport, in the municipality of Cacuso, and was extinguished by staff from the Civil Protection and Fire Service.
This is presumably a fire started by unknown individuals, which reached the vegetation, whose immediate intervention by the Fire Department stopped the progression of the fire that almost reached the airport shed, where three aircraft are located.
The information was given by the spokeswoman for the Provincial Command of Civil Protection and Fire Services, Júlia da Conceição, stressing that the staff used the muffling system, water and other methods and extinguishing substances.
He made it known that the incident did not cause material or human damage.
