Africa-Press – Angola. The Central Committee of the MPLA recommended on Tuesday, in Luanda, the review of school curricula to ensure that secondary school graduates have skills for the job market.
According to the communiqué of the fourth ordinary session of the Central Committee of the MPLA, chaired by President João Lourenço, the curricular revision should give a more professional character to secondary school finalists.
The party demanded recognition of the prioritization and appreciation of technical and professional training, as a bet for the preparation and insertion of young people in the labor market.
Among the conclusions and recommendations is also the creation of infrastructural conditions and funding for the implementation of self-directed construction projects and insertion in the digital world of a greater number of young people in cyberspace.
The members of the party’s central committee called for permanent and participatory dialogue for the definition and implementation of public policies that correspond to the aspirations of the youth, as well as the development of a productive work force, capable of responding to the needs of the market and that provides provide the country with the capabilities and resources needed to achieve the desired goals of economic and social progress.
In their final communiqué, they also recommended promoting the economic integration of young people, creating job opportunities, encouraging entrepreneurship with priority given to agriculture, livestock and the manufacturing industry, with a view to reducing the number of unemployed young people, expanding and the reduction of bureaucracy in access to subsidized credit, with a view to strengthening the young business class.
The creation of cooperatives of young entrepreneurs, to solve social problems, the promotion and support for the development of a broad youth and student associative movement, with a penchant for volunteering, are also among the recommendations that came out of the meeting.
The Central Committee exhorted the Executive to work hard to resolve the people’s problems, with a view to the continuous improvement of the living conditions of Angolans and their social well-being, and the promotion of a governance that is close and attentive to the needs of the populations.
He welcomed the diplomatic actions of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, aimed at strengthening cooperation with partner countries and attracting foreign investment for the growth of the national economy.
The committee expressed concern about the persistence of armed conflicts in the DRC, encouraging the initiatives of the Executive in the search for lasting and sustained peace solutions in the neighboring country and in the Great Lakes region, as well as support for the position of the Angolan State in defense of a cease -unconditional fire in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
He exhorted the Angolan people to maintain the spirit of peace, harmony, tolerance and national reconciliation.
He asked for calm in the face of messages that incite young people to acts of disturbance and public disorder, endangering fundamental rights.
