Africa-Press – Angola. Sonangol’s Distribution and Commercialization Business Unit is improving the image of the oil company’s service stations, with several improvement works, with the provision of a range of products and free internet signal, an initiative that will cover the 18 provinces of the country.

Following this programme, the aforementioned Unit announced, this Friday, to customers and the general public, the temporary ban, for two months, of the national filling station located on Rua Amilca Cabral, in Luanda, starting this Monday , April 24th.

According to the document, alternatively, the gas stations in Fortaleza (Marginal de Luanda), Airport (Cassenda), São Cristovão (Maculusso), Atlético (Neves Bendinha) and Rádio Nacional de Angola will be available nearby. (Alvalade).

Sonangol’s Distribution and Commercialization Business Unit regrets any inconvenience it may cause and appreciates the understanding of its customers and the population in general.

Similar work has already been carried out at the service stations in Primeiro de Maio, Rio Seco and Fortaleza, where work has been carried out to improve lighting, signage, layout of the convenience store model, offering a wide range of products, washing services of vehicles, WI-Fi and other conditions that aim to satisfy the needs of customers, an initiative that will be extended to the other regions of the country.

According to the National Mapping of Fuel Supply Stations published by the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute (IRDP), in July 2022, of the 900 establishments that were operational at the time, 333 were Sonangol flagships, representing 37%.
