Africa-Press – Angola. Clube Desportivo São Salvador do Kongo (CDSSK), from the municipality of Mbanza Kongo, province of Zaire, debuted, Sunday, with a 2-1 victory against Futebol Clube Luanda City, in the game referring to the first round from the qualifying zone to Girabola 2023/2024.

Playing at home, the home team was surprised, just after 22 minutes of the first half, with Luanda City’s goal, through Ndombaxi, thanks to the failure of goalkeeper Kuanzambi, from the São Salvador do Kongo team, who for ” chicken” saw the ball stop inside his meshes.

The equalizer came three minutes later, signed by Coxi, who shot hard at the opponent’s goal, beating goalkeeper Zema, from Luanda City.

In the 36th minute, São Salvador broke the tie, with Polaco’s goal (9), a result that ended the first half.

In regular time, Luanda City also saw a goal annulled by the refereeing team led by judge Laurindo Aurélio, who considered it to have been out of the game.

In the last 45 minutes, the visiting team was the one that most sought to change the result of the match, insistently pressing the opponent’s stronghold, but the CDSSK men remained serene and resisted the clash.

To the press, at the end of the match, the coach of Luanda City, Ibukum Akifenwa, was dissatisfied with the performance of the refereeing trio from the province of Uíge, led by judge Laurindo Aurélio.

“I have nothing to say. This performance demonstrates a retreat of football in the country”, he vented.

In turn, the coach of the host team, Finda Moiser, valued the three points won in the debut game, for whom it was a difficult match, realizing that his team started to lose, but that with the bravery of his players it was possible invert the result.
