Africa-Press – Angola. The Austrian ambassador to Angola, Romana konigsbrun, considered, this Tuesday, in Luanda, the visit of the Chancellor of her country, Karl Nehammer, as a crucial step for the strengthening of bilateral and strategic relations on the African continent.
For the diplomat, who resides in South Africa, Angola is one of the most stable countries in the region and strategic within the framework of the program to strengthen multilateral relations that Austria intends to develop with some African countries.
According to the ambassador, who was speaking about the 1st Angola-Austria Business Forum, trade relations between the two States are still incipient, taking into account the potential of the two countries, registering only a few investments in the renewable energy sectors. , such as green hydrogen production projects.
“We will, from now on, better explore the potential and opportunities of the two countries, in the sense of changing the trade balance and the Austrian investment portfolio in Angola”, he said.
The 1st Angola-Austria Business Forum took place this Tuesday (25), in an initiative of the Consulate of Austria in Angola, within the framework of the official visit of the Head of Government of that country, Chancellor Karl Nehammer.
Among the various aspects, the forum discussed the potential for cooperation between Angola and Austria, focusing on the sectors of agriculture, health, industry, waste, gas and infrastructure.
