Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Angolan Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso, is participating, in the city of Brasília (Brazil), in an intermediate seminar of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Portuguese Speaking Countries.
The event, which opened last Monday, lasts for two days and addresses, among others, topics such as the “role of jurisdiction in promoting and guaranteeing social and economic justice”, “hermeneutics and constitutional jurisdiction”.
According to a press note, the participants also address issues related to the organization’s sixth assembly.
The seminar’s program includes a guided tour of the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil.
On the sidelines of the seminar, the president of the Angolan Constitutional Court learned about the functioning of the Angolan Embassy in Brazil.
The Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Portuguese Speaking Countries is composed of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.
