Africa-Press – Angola. Professional and technological training for one million people on the African continent, over the next ten years, is one of the main challenges for the Israeli business group Mitrelli.

Cited in a press release this Friday, the founder and president of the respective business group, Haim Taib, highlighted that investment in education and local talent will allow the next generation to make the economy grow, create new jobs and establish the next technology companies in Africa.

Speaking during the celebration of 10 years of work by the Mitrelli Group in Africa or deep relations between Israel and Africa, the businessman hoped that both nations could develop innovative solutions, with the support of the Israeli technological ecosystem.

On the occasion, Haim Taib announced the institutionalization of the “Mitrelli Impact Prize”, an annual grant of US$100,000, which will be awarded to a person or team that presents innovative initiatives aimed at creating job opportunities in the areas of technology, health and education. on the African continent.

According to the president of Mitrelli, this award is an integral part of the long-term vision of the business group and its commitment to the social and economic prosperity of populations and communities in Africa.

Among the thousand personalities from Israel and other countries that participated in the event, 500 employees of the Mitrelli group came from Angola, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal and Switzerland.

Of these guests, the Angolan Minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges, stood out, who considered the population’s access to drinking water and basic sanitation as a fundamental human right.

Therefore, he advanced, there must be an equitable and rational management of this important natural resource, among the different users, in a perspective of justice, inter-generational balance and international harmony.

The celebration of 10 years of relations between Israel and Africa was marked by cooperation in innovation, as the driving force that has an impact on the growth of the African continent, and the human and economic potential of the people of the “cradle” continent.

Present in Africa since 2013, the Mitrelli group has 2,500 employees, of which more than 80% are in Africa, managing mega-projects in Angola, Mozambique, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, among other countries.

With these projects, approximately half a million people have already benefited from access to clean water and electricity, and hundreds of thousands of people have access to health care, as well as education and training programs.

In Angola, one of the main examples of Mitrelli’s work is the “Água para Todos” project, through which integrated and sustainable water supply infrastructures are introduced in rural areas, providing drinking water through reduced energy systems, with simple operation, minimal maintenance and maximum reliability, according to the business group.
