The church, continued the pastor, must fully support the most vulnerable people, with emotional and social problems, without any food for a healthy life, as the government will not be able to do everything alone.

Carlos Manuel Chiliva said that the 90th anniversary of the 1st Baptist Church in Huambo means a new beginning for people who are far from God, for a new way of living, unconditionally practicing the common good.

Founded on May 21, 1933, by a couple of Portuguese nationality, Manuel Ferreira Pedras and Das Dors Ferreira Pedras, the 1st Baptist Church of Huambo, located in the upper part of the city, has 550 members, including women, men and children.
