Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Angola Solidarity Support Movement (Movangola), António Alcino Sawanga, defended, in Luanda, respect for sovereign bodies, Government entities and State institutions, in order to promote good citizenship and defense of social peace.

António Alcino Sawanga made this statement within the framework of the National Forum for the Moralization of Society, at the Intercontinental Hotel, where he referred that Angolan society cannot continue to accept, in silence, the practices of misuse of social networks, in which the Antisocial behavior deeply offends public moral values.

According to the organisation’s leader, the society’s moralization days, held on Friday, under the motto “We are for Peace, Reconciliation and National Unity”, are a clear demonstration of Movangola’s commitment and dedication to continue supporting and praising the Executive’s effort to modernize the Public Administration and combat misconduct.

António Alcino Sawanga highlighted the objective of the actions that the movement has been organizing throughout the country, highlighting the public recognition of the performance of the President of the Republic in favor of peace in the world.

“These actions have the main objective of galvanizing all civil society actors and associating themselves with the performance of the Executive Power, João Lourenço”, he stressed, arguing that this association aims to raise the levels of patriotic education, rescue of moral and civic values of the Angolans.

Movangola’s highest entity urged families, religious institutions and traditional power authorities to reinforce the social role of transforming agents of the human person.

With regard to civil society organizations, he said that they should continue to encourage the different actors, with the aim of achieving together “the deepest aspirations of the population”, in the context of social actions that are part of the Government’s work.

António Sawanga reinforced the internal dialogue with opinion leaders, traditional authorities and residents’ commissions, in order to converge in the definition of public policies that satisfy the anxieties and expectations of the Angolan people.

He also took advantage of the occasion to appeal to the Angolan youth to remain confident in the country and not adhere to acts that make society sick.

He also reiterated Movangola’s commitment to continue working to promote values and civic conduct that respects the law and preserves public property.

The National Forum for the Moralization of Society, promoted by the Solidarity Support Movement of Angola, in reference to the 10th anniversary, was launched in January this year by the Minister of the Interior, Eugénio Laborinho.
