Africa-Press – Angola. The Cuanhama A team was crowned this Sunday, municipal football champion of Cuanhama, Cunene province, by defeating Matala FC, by 3-2, in the final game, after extra time.
The competition, which opened on the 1st of April, was played in four Groups (A, B, C and D) in the system of all against all in one round, with the participation of 16 teams from the youth and junior levels of the communes of Ondjiva, Mongua, Evale, Nehone and Oshimolo.
The organization of the event also foresees the organization of tournaments in different sports, namely basketball, handball, volleyball, athletics and martial arts (karate and judo).
Speaking to the press, the municipal director of Leisure, Youth and Sports, Migildo Situleipo, said that this edition served to promote the different sports disciplines and their massification among young people.
