Africa-Press – Angola. Three hundred and sixty-eight companies are participating in the twelfth edition of the Benguela International Fair (FIB), an increase of twenty-seven percent compared to 2022.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arena Eventos (organizer), Bruno Albernaz, advanced this information during the opening of the event, in the presence of the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior, and the governor of the province of Benguela, Luís Nunes .

They are mostly companies in the sectors of agriculture and livestock, food industry, beverages, fishing, banking, agricultural machinery, telecommunications, insurance, among others.

“This is a sample of the strong dynamics that the province of Benguela has been undertaking and of the strong results that all of us can achieve”, he said.

According to the PCA, during the four days of FIB, under the motto “The Corridor of Lobito”, conferences will take place on this and other topics, moderated by the National Institute of Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) and the Ministry of Economy and Planning.

Bruno Albernaz referred that the Lobito Corridor has aroused national and international interest, being an opportunity for all entrepreneurs who intend to create industries and services.

“Benguela, Lobito, Catumbela and other municipalities that are by the sea, have all the logistical conditions to ship and receive all the products that can make the entrepreneur invest and believe in this province”, he said.

The twelfth edition of the Benguela International Fair is taking place at Esadio do Ombaka, on the outskirts of the city of Benguela.
