Africa-Press – Angola. The coach of Interclube, Luís Gonçalves, pointed out Wednesday, in Luanda, the resilience and dedication of the team for the victory over 1o de Agosto, by 2-0, in the quarter-final game of the Angolan Cup in football, played at Estádio 22 de Junho.
When speaking to the press, after the challenge, which allowed the “military” formation to be removed and qualified for the semi-finals, the technician referred that the “police” group had a determined attitude and took advantage of the opportunities created, to score the two goals.
“We were a superior team, who managed to manage the game quickly, taking advantage of the failures of the 1o de Agosto with two goals from Além”, he said.
As for the next game, Sunday, he considered that Petro de Luanda is an opponent “by far” superior to Interclube, but, counting on the readiness and replica of its players, also in the fight for the triumph.
The Portuguese coach said that he was the national champion, however, that if they were allowed to play, Interclube could prevail and end up victorious in the semi-finals.
He explained that the group will enter to win the duel, then he will review the squad, to format a team capable of obtaining a good result.
In turn, the coach of 1o de Agosto, Filipe Nzanza, attributed the favoritism to Interclube, for being more cautious and managing to take advantage of his team’s mistakes with goals.
