Africa-Press – Angola. The semi-finals of the 2023 edition of the Angola Cup in football will be played on Sunday, at 3 pm, in the country’s capital, and in Benguela, between Petro de Luanda – Interclube and Kabuscorp do Palanca – Académica do Lobito teams.
In the match in Luanda, at Estádio 22 de Junho, despite the relative favoritism of the “oil-producing” formation, national champion (Girabola2022/23) and holder of the trophy, the “police” group will try to counteract the intentions of their opponent.
To reach that stage, Petro beat (Wednesday) Sagrada Esperança from Lunda Norte, by 2-0, in the quarter-finals, held at Estádio Tundavala, in the province of Huíla, while Interclube beat the 1st. de Agosto, equally 2-0, in Luanda.
The goals for the “tricolors” were scored by Kinito (22′) and Megue (76′). At Inter, the goals were signed by Além twice (14′ and 24′).
As for Kabuscorp, who are in the second division, they eliminated Isaac de Benguela, by 2-1, with goals scored by Muiler (own goal 62′), Dimitri (74′) and Kinho (22′), the latter of the Benguela.
About Académica do Lobito, who receives the emblem of Luanda, at Estádio do Buraco, at the same time, defeated Desportivo da Huíla, by 3-1, with goals from Jekson (12′) and Santos (14′ and 55′). Adopena scored the goal of honor for the Huilanos.
In the final of the last edition of this second biggest national football competition, Petro de Luanda beat Desportivo da Huíla, by 2-1.
The final of the Angola Cup is scheduled for the third (3) of June, at Estádio Tundavala, in the city of Lubango, province of Huíla.
