Africa-Press – Angola. Seventy-five employees of the National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Security (ANIESA) are taking part, starting today, in Viana, Luanda, in training on “Tax and Customs Legislation in Angola”.

Speaking at the opening of the event, ANIESA’s general inspector, Diógenes de Oliveira, referred that one of the pillars of this training is the training of ANIESA’s staff so that, at the time of inspections, they are better documented and qualified.

He appealed to the participants not only to look at visible irregularities, but also to keep redoubled attention to signs of irregularities and illegalities that constitute an attack on consumer rights and deviant paths by the respective inspectors.

In turn, the director of the Tax Studies Center of the General Tax Administration, Cristina Muenho, asked ANIESA technicians to pay extra attention to the transmission of knowledge, aiming at compliance and guidance from taxpayers.

The workshop, which aims to reinforce the knowledge of action by ANIESA employees, is promoted by the General Tax Administration (AGT).

For four days, the ANIESA staff will learn matters related to “Reform of the Angolan tax system”, “Tax legislation in Angola”, “Legal Regime of Invoices” and “Procedures for the application of Value Added Tax (VAT) in all variants”.

The themes “Customs Inspection and its procedures”, “Customs Inspection and its Procedures” and the Income Tax (IRT) will also be discussed at the seminar.

ANIESA was created within the scope of the State reform under the terms of Presidential Decree number 267/20, of October 16, as an entity dedicated to carrying out inspection activities on economic activities and food safety and results from the merger of inspection, sectoral services Industry, Commerce, Tourism, Environment, Transport, Health, Agriculture and Fisheries.
