Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, arrived in Abuja on Sunday, to attend the investiture ceremony of the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, taking place today.

At the local airport, Téte António, representing the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received welcome greetings from the Director America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, Jane Adams, and the Angolan ambassador, José Bamókina Zau.

The investiture ceremony of the new President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is attended by around 68 foreign delegations, including 30 Heads of State and Government.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 70 years old, won the February presidential election with 37% of the vote.

Born into a Muslim family of the Yoruba ethnic group, Bola Ahmed Tinubu entered politics in 1992 with the Social Democratic Party, for which he became a senator from Lagos West.

Although he became more famous for his influence in Lagos (the commercial center of Nigeria), where he became governor, the politician was born in the state of Osun, in the southwest of Nigeria.
