Africa-Press – Angola. GD Sagrada Esperança is considering hiring coach Oliveira Gonçalves, to coordinate a project to restructure and reorganize football at the club.
The fact is announced in a note of clarification from the club, in which information conveyed by websites and media bodies about an alleged appointment of the former coach to the position of sports director is denied.
In the communication, the Lunda Norte community refers that the possible contracting of Oliveira Gonçalves for the project will only take place through the approval of the sponsor ENDIAMA.
The note adds that, although he is helping in the elaboration of the project, he does not yet have any contractual link with the club.
Founded on December 22, 1976, in Dundo, Sagrada Esperança was national champion in 2005 and 2021, as well as winner of the Angola Cup in 1988 and 1999.
The club made several appearances in African competition, playing in the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1989 and 2000.
He participated in the CAF Cup in 1992, 1998 and 2020 and also in the African Champion Clubs’ Cup in 2005, 2006 and 2021.
