Africa-Press – Angola. Sécil Marítima carried out, this Thursday, the first experimental trip by Catamaran, on the Luanda / Soyo route, in a journey without constraints that lasted at least eight hours.
The vessel made up of 20 elements, including technicians from the aforementioned company, served for the technical assessment of the conditions of the river terminal in the municipality of Soyo, as part of the relaunch of the passenger and cargo cabotage network.
The technical voyage of the first Catamaran to that terminal, which filled both the municipal authorities and the local population with joy, is part of the trials that precede the re-launch of maritime voyages scheduled for next March.
Upon arrival in Soyo, the coordinator of Secil Marítima’s management committee, João Martins, told journalists that it was a test trip and technical maneuvers, namely docking, undocking at the Soyo passenger and cargo terminal, as well as how to test the technical conditions of the navigation channel.
