Africa-Press – Angola. The 38th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA 2023) will take place from the 18th to the 22nd of July, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), announced this Monday, in Luanda, the Secretary of State for the Economy, Ivan dos Saints.
Speaking at a press conference, the official underlined that the event is being held under the motto “Digital economy, the new frontier of the world”, and should attract the attention of businessmen.
Ivan dos Santos stressed that the event, as it is the largest multisectoral fair in the country, assumes a leading role in economic development and growth, “should allow the emergence of business between companies, attract investment intentions from companies in the diaspora”.
According to the official, the main objective of the event is the diversification of the economy, stimulating national entrepreneurship, evolution of agribusiness, attracting national and foreign investment, strengthening economic, commercial, industrial development and continuing to promote national brands, through “Made in Angola”.
“FILDA should be considered the privileged place to do business, it gives entrepreneurs opportunities to interact with consumers, and through it they will be able to continuously expand their businesses, create a market and increase economic diversification”, he reinforced. .
The 37th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), which took place from 16 to 20 July 2022, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), brought together around 629 exhibitors and 15 countries.
During the event, there were exhibitions, conferences, as well as a space called “Startup Summit 2022”, that is, the first summit of national digital entrepreneurship, bringing together various entrepreneurs in debate to show the potential and address the opportunities of the Angolan market.
The Luanda International Fair is, above all, a stage for the promotion of national production, emphasizing the diversification of the economy, business and the promotion of employment.
Since the first edition, in 1983, FILDA is seen by exhibitors as a showcase of Angola’s capacities and potential, to stimulate the increase of national production and the launching of new economic bridges.
The regularity with which FILDA is held has contributed to business development, the improvement of the business environment and the boosting and emergence of new companies and investments in the Angolan market.
FILDA was, until 2016, organized by different management entities, with the Ministry of Economy and Planning intervening as promoter of the event since its thirty-third edition.
