Africa-Press – Angola. The municipal director of Promotion and Integrated Economic Development of Cacuaco, Francisco Vitoriano, assured that there are technical conditions in the old market of Sabadão to accommodate the wholesalers transferred under the Trade Reorganization Plan in the country’s capital.
Speaking to the press about the fifty wholesale warehouses removed from the capital of Luanda, as they operate in inappropriate areas, the official indicated that there are a number of warehouses, with different sizes, where warehouse workers will be accommodated.
Francisco Vitoriano also informed that, through the Municipal Directorate of Urban Planning, more spaces are being surveyed so that, if there is likely to be an increase in the number of transferred wholesalers, they can be served.
The Plan for the Reorganization of Commerce, underway along the avenues Cónego Manuel das Neves, the surroundings of the São Paulo area (Urban District of Sambizanga) and Ngola Kiluanje (Urban District of Hoji Ya Henda), aims, among other objectives, to restore the legality of formal and informal trade, along the roads of the province of Luanda, with around 300 stores and warehouses having already been closed, due to irregular trading practices.
Of those closed, fifty are being transferred to existing spaces in the municipality of Viana e Cacuaco, in accordance with Law No. in urban areas.
