Africa-Press – Angola. Energy experts from the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) address, from the 27th to the 28th of this month, the importance of the energy transition and its contribution to the development of Member States in the region.

Specialists will also discuss more advanced technical solutions to promote a sustainable energy transition capable of resolving national and global energy shortages.

The information, which appears in a joint note from the Ministries of Energy and Water and Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, mentions the presentation and approach on the latest technical and financial developments of the energy transition.

During two days, the event will also promote collaboration between countries and their companies linked to the energy sector, with a view to sharing information, projects and best practices so that each one can advance with its energy matrix, with the support and the example of the Portuguese-speaking network.

Also, within the scope of the work, cites the document, they will look into renewable energies and Oil and Gas.

According to the programme, the 3rd Meeting of CPLP Ministers of Energy will take place on the 28th of this month, preceded by the meeting of energy experts from the community, to be held on the 27th.

Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor, along with Angola, which has chaired the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries since July 2021.

The conferences are attended by leaders of the energy sector and representatives of institutions and public and private companies from each member country, CPLP and international energy specialists, as well as businessmen.
