Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy governor of Zaire for the political, social and economic sector, Afonso Nzolameso, this Thursday in Mbanza Kongo asked the staff of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) in the region to assume their mission with high honesty.
The official lamented the indecent behavior of some members of the sector who, in his opinion, tarnish the good name of this State institution.
Afonso Nzolameso was speaking at the commemoration of the 44th anniversary of the institutionalization of MININT in the country, June 22nd, takes place, having urged strict compliance with the rules of discipline that govern the institution.
“We ask that each employee work with honesty and loyalty to the principles and values that guide the functioning of MININT, making it a Ministry of high reputation and with credibility before the society it defends”, he reinforced.
The deputy governor reiterated that the fight against fuel smuggling continues to be one of the flags of the local Government, including the phenomenon of illegal immigration and other related crimes.
To this end, he asked for the continued empowerment of defense and security forces and beyond, in the region, so that they carry out concrete actions of an operational nature in a coordinated manner.
He referred to the investments made by the Provincial Government in the construction and modernization of some infrastructures to support the work of the different MININT bodies in the province, estimated at more than seven billion kwanzas.
The actions, according to the vice-governor, result in the building of the Command of the Civil Protection and Fire Service, rehabilitation, expansion and modernization of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) facilities and the construction of a police station in the municipality. from Mbanza Kongo.
It also included the construction of another police station, in the commune of Quibala Norte, municipality of Nzeto.
On the occasion, the MININT delegate in Zaire, Commissioner Firmino Uyamba, informed that, from January to May this year, sector members in the region prevented the smuggling of 524,218 liters of fuel to the DRC.
During the act, 103 employees from different bodies that make up the delegation of the Ministry of the Interior in Zaire were patented.
The 22nd of June is being commemorated under the motto: “Firm in Building Order and Public Security, Betting on the Humanization and Modernization of Services, Let’s Celebrate the 44th Anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior”.
