Africa-Press – Angola. The politician Dinho Chingunji said that the rotating presidency that Angola will assume, this month, in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) presents itself as an opportunity for the country.

Dinho Chingunji expressed this point of view regarding the holding, in Luanda, of the 43rd Summit of Heads of State and Government of SADC, scheduled for the 17th of the current month, during which the country will assume, for one year, the rotating presidency .

The politician sees the rotating presidency as an opportunity for Angola to leave its mark, following up on programs and projects being implemented in the region.

Among SADC programs and projects are the Strategic Indicative Plan for Regional Development 2020-2030, peace, security and good governance, as well as Infrastructure Development.

The organization includes Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The Acting President of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) is the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi.

SADC is an inter-governmental organization created in 1992 and dedicated to socio-economic cooperation and integration, as well as cooperation in matters of politics and security.
