Africa-Press – Angola. The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) promoted free legal consultations to citizens of Menongue, Cuando Cubango province, an action carried out within the scope of the process of listening and raising the population’s awareness of judicial matters.
In the initial phase, 50 citizens were assisted, who expressed concerns regarding the rights of separated women, but with a relationship recognized by law, children’s rights, when there is separation of parents, escape from paternity, lack of pension and food assistance, among others. .
The action, the first of its kind carried out this year by the PGR in Menongue, had the participation of 11 magistrates, and took place under the motto “To bring Justice closer to the Citizen”. Muaca, highlighted the importance of the initiative, considering that citizens often do not have the time to go to the Attorney General’s Office or other bodies involved in the administration of Justice, in order to obtain clarification on the situation that concerns them. .
The Attorney General’s Office plans to carry out the activity three times a year. Thus, the second session is scheduled for the month of June and the third for the month of November, in Cuito Cuanavale and Cuchi, municipalities where the procedural movement justifies a sharp action by the Justice, taking into account the number of people.
