Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, received this Tuesday, in Luanda, the Figurative Letters from Ambassador Margaret Kamoto that enable her to exercise the functions of head of the Diplomatic Mission of Malawi in Angola.
Margaret Kamoto is a career diplomat, having previously served as Malawi’s Ambassador to Zambia and Counselor in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.
The meeting, which minister Tete António had with the new designated representative of Malawi in Angola, was attended by the Consultant to the Head of Angolan Diplomacy, Márcio Burity.
Malawi has shown interest in cooperating with Angola in the areas of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Defense and Security, Tourism, among other sectors.
Angola and Malawi share an excellent bilateral relationship, both are part of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and intend to study new areas of interest to increase their cooperation relations.
