Africa-Press – Angola. The counselor of the Baptist Convention of Angola in Huambo province, Justina Floriano Chindende, this Sunday urged a greater involvement of women in building, preserving and reconciling families and society in general.

When intervening at the end of the Baptist Missionary Feminine accompaniment, opened on the 25th of the current month, the missionary highlighted the role of women in building families, reflecting on a fairer society filled with love for others, empathy and solidarity.

She highlighted that families and women, in particular, have an increased responsibility in promoting a culture of peace, mutual respect, as well as in the religious and social instruction of their children, in order to face the current challenges.

“We need to cultivate justice in the world, starting with our home, workplace, church and other places we attend, giving practical examples of treating our husbands, children, siblings, and others who are part of everyday life with dignity and respect. -day”, highlighted the missionary.

The missionary lamented the socioeconomic difficulties that many families face, a fact that obliges women to seek, more and more, divine wisdom, with a focus on protecting the home, respecting partnerships, in situations of unemployment, tranquility and the common good.

In turn, the director of the União Feminina Missionária Baptista in Huambo province, Maria Hamã, informed that the accompaniment, framed in the group’s half-yearly activities, aimed to spread the gospel of Christ, as well as awaken the spirit of evangelization in women.

Under the motto “The Christian woman with purpose in difficult times”, the Baptist Missionary Female Accompaniment, according to the official, had more than 700 participants, from the 11 municipalities of the province.

The promotion of philanthropic activities such as the distribution of solidarity soups, among others, is part of the social priorities of this female group of the Baptist Convention of Angola in Huambo this year.
