Africa-Press – Angola. A sporting and scientific work, called “The Universal Futsal of São Martinho de Mouros à Tundavala”, was launched (Thursday), in Luanda, under the authorship of the national coach, the Portuguese Marcos Antunes.
The launch and autograph ceremony took place at the Pepetela Auditorium, at the Portuguese Cultural Center of Instituto Camões, in the presence of the president of the Angolan Futsal Federation, Manuel Patrício, the national women’s coach, Sandra Dias, and other personalities.
On the occasion, the author of the book, which was published in Portugal, with 500 copies, and its launch on June 2nd in this country, said that the work encompasses stories of adventures experienced in Angolan futsal, and its target audience is diverse, ranging from coaches, teachers, athletes and people linked to the sport.
It can also be an excellent bedside “companion” for those who like to travel through the pages of an exciting book.
According to Marcos Antunes, the book will provide tools in the project for anyone interested in working with futsal and be able to better organize the processes, such as the administrative part, training and mass development.
By compressing all this into a book for people to read the contents, they make him proud, because he is convinced that he will help the country to have better coaches, players and managers.
In this second edition of the book’s launch for Angola, 500 copies are available, priced at ten thousand Kwanzas (10,000 Kz) each, with 135 pages, divided into seven chapters.

In turn, the president of the Angolan Futsal Federation, Manuel Patrício, welcomed the work, which in his opinion helped him a lot in terms of the specific issues of the sport.
The leader acknowledged that Angola has already released many scientific books related to sport, but on Futsal it is the first and that he is absolutely certain that it will be very well received in the country, not only by those who practice the sport, but also by academics and football lovers. reading.
Manuel Patrício, hopes that the book will be well received, mainly within learning, gaining many good athletes, in the near future, at the level of clubs, schools and communities with the “Nzoji” project.
Marcos Antunes, is national coach and coordinator of all Angolan futsal teams, since January 2022. He won the Portuguese Football Federation’s biggest sporting award, the Quinas de Ouro, in 2018, with his reference project, the “ Os Afonsinhos Futsal School”.
He has worked for over 20 years in the area of training and coordinating young football, futsal and basketball athletes.
He has specific training in futsal and handball, with courses taken at Portugal Football Schools in team manager-team management, management of training entities, management and maintenance of sports facilities, basic health/AED operational course and automatic external defibrillator.
The coach of the Angolan national “five” is the founder of the “Os Afonsinhos” Futsal School, a reference in the sports training of young athletes in Portugal, in partnership with Inter Movistar from Spain, considered the best futsal club in the world.
