Africa-Press – Angola. The process of updating electoral data in Malanje is being carried out by 156 operators, according to the director of the Provincial Office for Registries and Administrative Modernization, Lando David Pacheco.

He added that the province currently has 52 One-Stop Public Service Desks (BUAP), 15 of which in the municipal seats and 37 in the communal seats, and these update electoral data, issue a citizen’s card and update residence, but as of the 1st of April, citizens will be able to process the Identity Card, the issuance of a death certificate and other documents.

He assured that the difficulties recorded at the beginning of the registration process for updating electoral data, with the replacement of tablets by computers, had already been overcome and that productivity had improved considerably on the part of operators.

The official also informed that, in addition to fixed posts, posts were created throughout the provincial territory and that they work with operators to meet the needs of citizens. The BUAPs are also open on weekends, from 8 am to 4 pm. The goal is to register a total of 228 thousand and 59 citizens.
