The President of the Republic reaffirmed the country’s interest in establishing a “true strategic partnership” with Cape Verde, strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation in important areas of life, with emphasis on Public Administration, Education, Agriculture, Transport, Tourism and Services as well as at the parliamentary level.

João Lourenço expressed this desire when he was speaking yesterday at the National Assembly of Cape Verde.

After decades of war, he said that Angola has been experiencing, for 20 years, a situation of effective, lasting and irreversible peace in an environment of perfect national reconciliation. He stressed that in August this year the country will hold its fifth general elections, in harmony and freedom, which will allow Angolans to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
