Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moxico, Agrione Manuel, encouraged, this Sunday, in Luena, the promotion of youth entrepreneurship in the region, in order to contribute to the national economy.

Speaking during an event called “Café Económico”, held by the Pepetela literary movement, this businessman said that the province offers several business opportunities, which can be taken advantage of by young people to create their investments.

The businessman recalled that this measure could promote self-employment and contribute to economic growth.

“It is necessary for young people to study the market and legalize the activity, to obtain financing from banks”, added Agrione Manuel.

Data indicate that the province has three thousand and 687 companies, of which 88 percent operate in the trade and service sector, 10% in the industrial sector (bakery, carpentry, milling, soap and detergent factories and just one percent in construction and agricultural production).

In turn, the head of the “Oliveira” group, Edvaldo de Oliveira, who works in timber exploration, encouraged the youth to focus on resilience, putting projects into practice, to achieve success in the business.

On the occasion, the spokesperson for the Pepetela group, João Mafo, said that the meeting aimed to carry out a critical analysis of the contribution of young people to the diversification of the national economy.

The Pepetela group, created in 2021, is a non-governmental organization that develops cultural, social and economic activities.
