Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of the MPLA Political Bureau for International Relations, Manuel Augusto, has been in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, since Sunday, with a view to strengthening cooperation with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Manuel Augusto and the delegation accompanying him will also take the opportunity to convey, to the authorities, on behalf of the Angolan people, the feeling of gratitude for the crucial role that China has played and continues to play, in the process of national reconstruction underway in Angola in recent 20 years.

According to Manuel Augusto, speaking to the press, the international political “chess” is facing great challenges and China is a major player to be taken into account.

On Monday, according to the agenda, Manuel Augusto will meet with the vice minister of the International Division of the CPC.

The MPLA delegation should also visit the Beijing Municipal Committee Party School, in order to learn about its operation.

The party delegation includes the director of the Department of International Relations (DRI), Maquento Lopes, the head of the Asia Division of the DRI, Maria de Jesus, and the head of the Division of the Department for Economic Policy, Bruno Esmeraldo.
