Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of JMPLA in Zaire, Agostinho Dias Zantoto, this Saturday, in Mbanza Kongo, urged youth to refrain from bad practices and contribute, with their knowledge, to the country’s socioeconomic development.

According to the leader, young people cannot allow themselves to be carried away by disinformation campaigns that some entities carry out across the country to discredit democratically elected institutions.

“I appeal to our young people to be vigilant against those who, at all costs, provide distorted information about the reality of the country”, he reiterated.

Agostinho Dias Zantoto said that the Angolan Executive, led by President João Lourenço, is working to reverse the current situation that the country is experiencing in the most varied areas.

By the way, he asked young people to continue preserving the achievements already achieved by Angolans, with an emphasis on peace.

“We express our unconditional support to our President João Lourenço, regarding the actions that the Executive has been implementing to, gradually, improve the lives of Angolans”, he expressed.

The JMPLA leader spoke at the opening of the days commemorating the 23rd of November, the day of the founding of this MPLA youth organization.

The opening act was also marked by two lectures on “the role of youth in the country’s development” and “secrets to success”.

The day of the festivities includes recreational, sporting and cultural activities, as well as blood donation and awareness campaigns about road accidents.
