Africa-Press – Angola. The UNITA Parliamentary Group will propose to hold monthly debates with the Executive, on general or sectoral policy, as well as reinforce the supervisory role of the National Assembly.
This proposal was announced, this Tuesday, at a press conference for the balance sheet of the 10th UNITA Parliamentary Days, which recommended the introduction in the General State Budget (OGE) of a debt limit.
According to the chairman of the Parliamentary Group, Liberty Chiyaka, UNITA defends the incorporation of the Integrated Program for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) as an annex to the OGE and, following the approval of the National Development Program, materialize the preparation of multi-annual budgets.
He referred that he also advocates the mandatory hearing of the social partners before the discussion on the specificity of any proposal or draft law, due to the matter, and the establishment of a technical budget support unit.
On the other hand, Liberty Chiyaka expressed concern about the “poor state of the roads” that connect the city of Cuito with the other municipalities in Bié, the interruption of classes in higher education due to the teachers’ strike and the worsening of the economic and populations.
