Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, urged, this Tuesday, the Transport sector to create a new dynamic to improve urban mobility, taking into account the demographic explosion that is being seen, especially in Lubango.
Speaking at the inauguration of two new members of the Provincial Government and reference hospitals appointed on Monday, Nuno Mahapi admitted that there is considerable population growth, where the main challenge is mobility.
“(…) that’s why we want to give social services another dynamic. Lubango is the municipality with the most inhabitants, which is why it is necessary to pay more attention to certain segments”, he highlighted.
He also pointed to the need to impose change and monitor the actions of public servants and State partners.
For the governor, the missions are noble, but the nominees must be aware that they are in a difficult context, which does not prevent them from responding to the tasks that the population imposes, which is why the “best cadres and patriots who want to serve the interest of the Nation”.
Fernando Alberto took office as director of Transport, Traffic and Urban Mobility, Luísa Fernanda Varo Kaputo Basi, for Social Action, Family and Gender Equality, Lourenço Kotele, as general director of the Hospital Sanatório do Lubango, Ana Paula Pascoal da Silva, to director of the Lubango Orthopedic Center.
Also on Monday, in an order, Nuno Mahapi dismissed, at his request, Gracinda Gonçalves from the position of director of Transport, Traffic and Urban Mobility, Catarina Manuel Sebastião from the role of director of Social Action, Family and Gender Equality, Francisca Carvalho as general director of the Lubango Sanatorium Hospital and Sebastião Kwaba as general director of the Lubango Orthopedic Center.
