Africa-Press – Angola. The second provincial secretary of the MPLA in Cunene, Gonçalves Namueia, called for greater unity among party members, in order to strengthen internal cohesion.

Speaking at the opening of the activities program for the MPLA’s 67th anniversary, to be celebrated on December 10th, the politician spoke of the importance of solidarity as a key to political and social progress.

“From very early on, the MPLA became a driving force behind the country’s development, as it often knew how to interpret the noble desires of the Angolan people”, highlighted the person in charge last Saturday.

The leader called for greater reflection on individual and collective activism, for the future of Angola.

He highlighted the reforms implemented by President João Lourenço, in the political, economic and financial domains, with a view to the country’s development.

The event featured a lecture on the historical path of the MPLA, given by the nationalist and former second secretary of the party in Cunene, Elias Satyhomba.

The MPLA was founded on December 10, 1956.
