PIR Commander wants permanent preparation of personnel

Africa-Press – Angola. The Commander of the Rapid Intervention Police (PIR), chief commissioner Tito Munana, appealed Saturday, in the city of Uíge, to the personnel of this National Police body in the region for continued physical preparation, in order to be better prepared for combating violent crimes.

At the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the Territorial Unit of the Rapid Intervention Police (UT-PIR), which took place under the motto “28 firm years in guaranteeing and restoring public order and tranquility”, the chief commissioner stated that “the preparation Continuous is our motto here.”

He also urged the staff to defend the achievements of the Angolan people, the physical and moral integrity of the citizen and the national territory.

Tito Munana also highlighted the level of readiness achieved by the staff, a fact that has contributed to achieving better results.

During his intervention, he spoke about the trajectory, victories and organizational and operational transformations of the 28 years of existence of the PIR, whose mission contributed, alongside the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), to achieving peace, in April 2002 .

The event was marked by the demonstration of techniques, dance exhibition and the delivery of certificates to the highlighted staff who are part of the creation of PIR in Uíge.

It was attended by members of the operational councils of the Rapid Intervention Police (PIR), the PN provincial command in Uíge, migration and fire commissioner officers, the FAA, among others.
