Angola beats Korea in world cup qualifying

Africa-Press – Angola. The national senior women’s handball team beat, this Sunday, its counterpart from South Korea, by 33-31, in a game related to the qualifying phase from 9th to 16th place of the world championship in the sport, taking place in Norway.

The Angolans came out at half-time with a five-goal lead (20-15), but in the second half they were unable to maintain the large margin, against a technically well-structured opponent, who “offered” a reply to the national team.

However, the first part of the challenge was marked, among other things, by the forced exit of Angolan Juliana Machado, who was injured following a collision with an opponent.

The national team’s center Albertina Cassoma was considered the most valuable player of the match (MVP).

This is the Angolan team’s second victory at the World Cup, after beating Austria 30-25 last Friday.

In previous matches, Angola recorded three defeats and one draw.
