Africa-Press – Angola. With seven gold medals, Interclube won (Friday), in Luanda, the National Senior Boxing Championship, for both sexes, held at the National Institute of Police Sciences, Osvaldo Serra Van-dúnem.
In second place was Escola África Golfe II, with just one gold medal, followed by Academia KB, with two silver medals and one bronze.
The event, which was held over three days (20, 21 and 22, had the participation of 34 boxers from 17 clubs, from the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Zaire, Uige and Huila.
The fights were in eight categories, namely 51.54, 57.63, 71,80.92 and +90 kgs.
At the awards ceremony, the Angolan Boxing Federation (FABOXE) asked for a minute of silence, in honor of the Clube Snacks athlete, Pedro Massanga, who died, Wednesday, victim of being run over, after competing in the first round.
Also honored was the coach of Interclube and the National Team, who ended his contractual relationship with the “police” Club and returns to his country.
