Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of the province of Cunene, Gerdina Didalelwa, asked, this Friday, in Ondjiva, for more discipline and rigor from public managers in the management of financial resources, destined to meet the needs of citizens.
The minister who was speaking at the inauguration of the heads of the Budget Management and Accounting Department of the general secretariat of the government of Cunene, Guiomar António and of Tourism, Custódio Mwenwefulenge, asked for more responsibility in the performance of duties.
He said that the budget management department is a key within the provincial government, because it is financial resources made available to the public to satisfy administrative needs and beyond.
“Performing these positions requires commitment, dynamism and attention from each manager, especially when it comes to formalizing the superior guidance received to put it on paper and duly executing it for the benefit of the collective,” he stated.
He informed that financial resources must be permanently controlled to understand whether they are being applied in a transparent manner, so that inspection teams do not doubt what the local administration is.
Gerdina Didalelwa advised greater participation by managers in solving the problems that afflict the population, from water, energy, among others, in accordance with the development plan drawn up by the Angolan Executive.
