Africa-Press – Angola. More than one hundred thousand National Police personnel are mobilized to guarantee public order and tranquility on New Year’s Eve, across the country, the corporation’s general commander, Arnaldo Carlos, said this Saturday.
According to the officer, who spoke in Luanda, during the forces presentation ceremony, the troops are engaged in the operation to prevent acts or actions that disturb public order during this period.
“The forces presented must act to prevent the peace and rest that is taking place from being shaken by any event that puts social peace at risk”, he said.
He also called on the population to collaborate in denouncing all types of illegal acts that may occur in the transition from 2023 to 2024.
