Africa-Press – Angola. The Army commander, João Serafim Kiteculo, urged, on Thursday, the troops of the Cabinda Military Region to be vigilant in the period referring to the end of the year 2023.
João Serafim Kiteculo, who worked in the province of Cabinda, Wednesday and Thursday, assured that the military situation in the region is calm, but “there is little care”. The Army commander spoke during the military parade at the 10th Unit of Motorized Infantry of Ntó, 16 kilometers south of the city of Cabinda, having informed the troops that the FAA branch was equipped with a new structure capable of providing greater sustainability with regard to national defense.
At the operational level, said the commander, the efforts undertaken during 2023 were quite significant, with emphasis on participation in maintaining order, security and tranquility at the borders and throughout the territory.
The efforts undertaken by the troops, he highlighted, also allowed the free movement of people and goods, as well as support for the Government’s actions in the tasks of national reconstruction and combating groups of marginalized people who have been sabotaging the State’s economic resources.
On the other hand, João Serafim Kiteculo reiterated his support for the State in vaccination campaigns against polio, measles, tetanus, support for victims of natural calamities, as well as carrying out blood donation campaigns in hospitals across the country.
For the year 2024, he reinforced, the main efforts will be directed at increasing the capacity and readiness of the Army, in order to participate adequately in national military defense, thus contributing, in cooperation with the Air Force and Navy, in guaranteeing the territorial integrity, democracy, freedom, and security of the population and the entire national heritage.
