IESA presents the first babies of the year to “Irene Neto”

Africa-Press – Angola. The first three babies born today, Monday, at the Lubango “Irene Neto” Maternity Hospital, benefited from an equal number of layettes offered by the Evangelical Synodal Church of Angola (IESA), as part of its social responsibility.

The first baby to be born was a girl, at zero hours and three minutes, weighing three kilograms, the second was a boy, thirty minutes later weighing three kilos and 350 grams and the third was a girl, at midnight and 38 minutes, weighing two kilos and 900 grams.

These are babies born to women aged 28, 17 and 18, who became mothers for the first time, whose ceremony of handing over layettes made up of various items of clothing, hygiene and cleaning material, was witnessed by several members of the religious denomination.

On the sidelines of the event, the president of IESA, Diniz Eurico, made it known that they chose the maternity ward to greet the first hours of day one, because it is in this health unit where life begins, mothers bring birth to children, to the world.

He justified that they presented three babies, as the number three symbolizes the trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in the hope that this gesture can be blessed by God, with health and strength to all mothers and encourage all health professionals and of Maternity in particular, where life.

Meanwhile, Tereza João dos Santos, 28 years old, one of the mothers, thanked ISEA for the gesture, as she came to reinforce the layette she had already prepared and this act of the church comes to comfort a woman, a mother.

In total so far, 15 births have been carried out at the Lubango Maternity Hospital, of which six were cesarean sections.
