Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, this Thursday appointed Lieutenant General Dinis Segunda Lucama to the position of Chief of Staff of the Army of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).
In a Presidential Decree, released on Thursday, the Head of State appointed several commissar officers of the National Police, the Criminal Investigation Service, generals and admirals of the FAA, having also decreed the promotion of commissary officers and superiors of the National Police and the transition to retirement of National Police commission officers, among other acts linked to military careers.
Among those nominated, lieutenant generals António José Neto, for the position of commander of the Northern Military Region, and Remígio do Espírito Santo, commander of the Southeast Military Region, also stand out.
Commissioners of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) were also appointed, with emphasis on criminal investigation commissioners José Carlos de Barros Gomes, for the position of director of identification and registration of the SIC, of the Ministry of the Interior, Rufino Mário Zangui (director of combating drug trafficking) and Armando Domingos Capapa Agostinho, director of combating financial and tax fraud crimes.
On the other hand, the dismissal of the main fire commissioner Bensau Mateus, from the position of commander of the Civil Protection and Fire Service of the Ministry of the Interior, to which he had been appointed through Presidential Decree no 271/19, of 30 August.
In another Decree, deputy commissioner of criminal investigation Maria Helena dos Santos was retired, in addition to chief commissioners António Maria Sita, Elizabeth Maria Ramos Franque, António Vicente Gimbe, Alfredo Quintino Lourenço, Eduardo Fernando Cerqueira and Mário Augusto de Oliveira Santos.
Likewise, commissioners Alberto Lisboa Mário, João Elias de Sousa, Pedro André Quiambi, Filipe Barros Espanhol, Luís Manuel António, Rogério Fangana Muagina, deputy commissioners Sebastião Xavier Neto, Augusto António Chiwawa, Nito Domingos Joaquim Manuel, Domingos Jerónimo and Rafael Mingas Vumbi.
It is also worth highlighting the appointment of commissioners David da Silva Cabaça, to the position of commander of the Personal Security Police and Protocol Entities, Mateus André (delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and provincial commander of the National Police in Lunda-Sul), José Fernandes (delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and provincial commander of the National Police in Cuanza-Norte), Adulcínio Isaac Sandolina da Silva Lutucuta (director of the Integrated Public Security Center of the Ministry of the Interior).
In accordance with the decrees, the Head of State carried out acts in accordance with the Constitution, supported by the Law on Ranks and Badges of the National Police and the Law on National Defense and Armed Forces, after consulting the National Security Council.
