Africa-Press – Angola. A group of 38 young people benefited, on Sunday, in Malanje, from metalworking, carpentry, electricity, cutting and sewing kits, among others, within the scope of the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE).
Initially, the beneficiaries participated in training cycles in their respective areas, with a view to qualifying for the exercise of the professions.
The delivery of the means was made by the provincial governor, Norberto dos Santos “Kwata Kanawa”, who appealed for their use for the proper purposes (creation of self-employment and work opportunities for other young people).
He also urged publicizing the works to be done, in order to win over customers and raise money to pay for the kits.
In turn, the head of the Provincial Services of the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), Rui Bravo, said that the 38 young beneficiaries will give direct employment to 79 others, with the opening of small service provision companies.
He informed that the province will receive another 886 kits in the next few days, so he appealed to interested parties to register.
Launched in 2019, PAPE is a project of the Angolan Government that aims to support national citizens from 17 to 40 years old, in the areas of training, entrepreneurship, micro-credits, distribution of kits and professional internships.
PAPE plans to benefit 83,500 young people across the country by the end of this year, with a view to encouraging entrepreneurship, with the granting of credits worth a minimum of 300,000 kwanzas and a maximum of seven million.
In Malanje, PAPE has already benefited more than 200 young people, with kits, professional training, internships and micro-credits in the amount of 35 million and 773 thousand kwanzas.
