Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Women’s Organization (OMA) in the province of Moxico reaffirms its commitment to continue developing awareness-raising activities in communities to discourage the wave of domestic violence in families.
This intention was reaffirmed by the organization’s first provincial secretary, Maria de Fátima Zangata, at the opening ceremony of the organization’s Foundation Day, which takes place on January 10th.
According to the person responsible, it is the OMA’s task to defend the interests of women, by promoting their rights for their affirmation in society, as well as the values of union, fraternity and love in families.
During the day celebrating the founding of OMA, he said that environmental protection actions are also planned, which include the province’s afforestation, such as sporting and recreational activities.
