Africa-Press – Angola. The province of Uíge may have, in the first quarter of this year (2024), a tourist information office, in order to provide the necessary information about the region’s tourist itinerary.
The province of Uíge has 101 tourist sites registered in the municipalities of Bembe, Negage, Ambuila and Mucaba.
These include cultural heritage, monuments and sites, rivers, falls, rocks, lagoons, waterfalls, among others.
On Monday, the director of the Provincial Office of Culture, Youth and Sports in Uíge, Gomes Costa, said that the center will serve as a space where all information about the region’s tourist attractions can be obtained.
He explained that the project aims to promote tourism in the region.
He also recalled that the cataloging of more tourist sites in the province has been underway since last December, to attract a greater number of visitors and investors.
“The objective of this project is to transform the province into a true tourist destination in the country”, said Gomes Costa.
The person responsible reiterated the sector’s commitment to working to preserve culture, as heritage in the transmission of values represented by local artists, through music, dance and visual arts.
